The rugby was due to start but the sunshine beckoned me out for a lovely autumn walk on this beautiful sunny Saturday afternoon. With the wind in my hair and the leaves crunching underfoot, I could hear the crashing of the waves coming up at the valley.

The colours at this time of the year are fantastic. The dappled sunshine filtering through the trees, enhancing the oranges and greens of the foliage around. I caught a glimpse of the sea – the promise of what was yet to come. With the bright blue sky above me, I arrived at the beach to a view across the bay with the backdrop of the special ‘red cliffs’ along this stretch of coastline.

Returning home, refreshed and invigorated, I hunkered down with a hot chocolate to watch the recorded rugby match in front of a roaring log fire.
